Chukwuemeka ran a printing business in Onitsha. In May 2023, he imported paper and ink from China, paying roughly N460 to the dollar at the official window. By December that year, the same dollar cost him N900. By the end of 2024, it was N1,535. His input costs more than tripled in eighteen months. He raised prices. Clients went elsewhere.
