This article takes the position that there are no quick fixes (easy solutions) or a silver bullet (a single powerful and overwhelming solution) to the problems of the Nigerian Electric Supply Industry (NESI). It is necessary to say this early to the new Minister of Power, Mr. Joseph Olasukanmi Tegbe, even as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be swearing him in during the week. Mr. Tegbe is a first class civil engineering graduate and a multi-specialist professional with background including being fellows of the two leading accounting and taxation professional bodies in Nigeria; and as a high flying consultant with footprints with KPMG Africa as senior partner and head of advisory services. His last public service appointment was the high profile position of Director General and Global Liaison at the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership office.
